The guest rooms vary in size, and optimal use is made of the available space. Every room has a television with pay-TV, an air cooler with individual controls, an ISDN socket and a CD player. CDs can be borrowed from reception.
Berns offers you a choice of 65 rooms, including three suites, and these range from single rooms to large suites. The de luxe double rooms and junior suites are very popular, as is the large Klocksviten (Clock Suite) with its own sauna. Some of the rooms have their own balcony with a wonderful view over Stockholm. Berns Hotel has 22 single rooms, 40 double rooms and 3 suites.
The popular Berns’ bar is situated beneath the late 19th century crystal chandeliers. Made of frosted glass, it is a little work of art in its own right. The warm lighting, the comfortable sofa groups and the leafy indoor plants create a perfect environment in which to relax. As the evening wears on, the atmosphere starts to build, especially on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays when big name DJs keep the crowds entertained with exciting music from around the world.
The Berns Restaurant opened in 1863 and is situated in the larger of the two salons. It has room for 250 guests to enjoy the classic and innovative Swedish and international food served up in a unique setting. A visit to Berns Restaurant is an unforgettable experience which, throughout the years, has always made more of an impact on the tastebuds than the wallet. The restaurant is open to everyone, both hotel guests and the general public, from the time the breakfast buffet opens to the time the last dinner table is cleared.
A drink in the cocktail bar is also warmly recommended. Study the drinks menu, make your selection and then sit back and watch as the bartender gets to work. Settle back on the comfy sofas and let the evening take shape!
The Berns has nine meeting rooms of varying sizes, ranging from
Näckström Sviterna, perfect for smaller groups, to China Teatern which seats up to 1200. Some rooms are still furnished in their original 1800s style while others have a contemporary design. All are equipped with state-of-the-art technology. Should you need special equipment of any kind, the Hotel can of course arrange that for you.
