Perched atop San Francisco's prestigious Nob Hill, the elegant Huntington Hotel overlooks charming Huntington Park, stately Grace Cathedral and the historic Flood Mansion. A family-owned and operated property for three-quarters of a century, the Huntington Hotel is one of the last bastions of "Old San Francisco." It is a place where the fast pace of the city gives way to a sense of history and discretion, offering the service of days past right along with today's most modern amenities.
The Huntington Hotel's prime location on one of San Francisco's highest hills ensures hotel guests superlative views of the City's skyline or Huntington Park. The California Street Cable Car glides past the hotel's front door making the Financial District, Union Square and Fisherman's Wharf just a short ride away.
The Huntington Hotel is also an award winning hotel.
The Big 4 Restaurant
Located off the lobby of the Huntington Hotel, the Big 4 Restaurant was named after the four railroad tycoons of the 19th century - C.P. Huntington, Charles Crocker, Leland Stanford and Mark Hopkins. Appropriately, the Nob Hill restaurant now serves as a perfect showcase for an impressive collection of original artifacts, historical photographs and memorabilia from California's unique history. Appointed with lead glass mirrors and rich, forest green banquettes, one step into the Big 4 Restaurant will transport guests to another era of California's past.
Combined with the Big 4 Restaurant's unique atmosphere is a menu that promises only the finest in innovative and contemporary American cuisine. Executive Chef Gloria Ciccarone-Nehls, named "1995 Hotel Chef of the Year" by the National Executive Chefs Association, brings a wealth of experience and an artistic touch to each dish she creates.
The Big 4 Restaurant has continued to earn local and national recognition by receiving numerous awards. The Big 4 Restaurant was named one of San Francisco's top 20 restaurants by readers of Gourmet Magazine and has also received the Wine Spectator Magazine's Award of Excellence for one of the world's most outstanding wine lists.

The delicate details throughout the spa evoke a feeling of serenity. The treatment rooms harmoniously combine the Japanese, Chinese, Italian and Victorian influences found in the neighborhoods, architecture and people of the city of San Francisco. These cultural dynamics blended with the 3,000-year-old use of feng shui, the Chinese art of arranging interiors to create harmony, form a rejuvenating union for a vibrant health and beauty escape.
A San Francisco Bay Area feng shui expert consulted on the Nob Hill Spa. The natural energy of the NHS environment was used to create a calming inner peace in our guests. The importance of color, sound and movement was emphasized as criteria for the layout and furnishings of the spa. These elements found throughout the spa and the location of the pool overlooking the city were strategically selected to create a euphoric feeling in this luxurious refuge.
Special attention to detail was included in the design of the spa's amenities to encourage a feeling of solitude and a calming of the senses.
