The Grant Plaza Hotel was built in the 1920s, and is best known for its charm and convenience to many popular sites in San Francisco. Located just blocks from Union Square shopping district, within walking distance of the famous San Francisco cable cars, and at the gate to Chinatown, the Grant Plaza Hotel is the perfect place for a vacation getaway.
It is historically known, during the 40s and 50s, for having one of San Francisco's most popular nightclubs, the "Grand View Tea Garden". The nightclub was located on the top of the Grant Plaza Hotel, but that floor has since been redesigned to include more guest rooms, and also includes beautiful stained glass windows.
The newly renovated Grant Plaza Hotel is centrally located at the Gateway to Chinatown, 3 blocks to Union Square, one block to the Financial District and Cable Car Line. All of our great rooms have electronic key access, Hair dryer in the bathroom, voicemail, and satelite TV. It is recommended by many tourist guide books as a "Best Buy".
