Adjacent to the Trinita dei Monti Church, in the very heart of Rome, the Hotel Hassler has a world-renowned location atop the Spanish Steps.

The Hassler with its centennial tradition is owned by the Wirth family and has been managed for 20 years by Roberto E. Wirth, who descends from the famous dynasty of Swiss hoteliers.

The Hassler's "Golden Book" counts many illustrious signatures, which are testimony of the many famous personalities who appreciated its elegance and style, the impeccable service and above all the absolute discretion of this unquestioned symbol of Roman hospitality.

The Hassler offers 85 rooms and 15 suites, two of which are Presidential suites, most with breathtaking views over the "Eternal City", many with balconies and terraces.

Each room is unique and elegantly furnished with antiques, while equipped with all the modern amenities, in the traditional Hassler style. All rooms have satellite colour television, direct dial telephones with PC and fax links, safe box, refrigerator/bar and individually controlled air conditioning.

The Rooftop Restaurant at the sixth floor of the Hassler offers diners a spectacular bird's-eye view of Rome. Occupying one of the highest and broadest locations in the centre of the city, it overlooks the Spanish Steps, St. Peter's Dome, the Pantheon, the Coliseum, the wedding-cake monument of Victor Emmanuel, and many magnificent Roman "Palazzos" and Churches.

As a landmark of Rome, it is the meeting point of the international élite. Its refined atmosphere is the perfect setting to fully savour the innovative and yet conceptually traditional cuisine created by a renowned Chef.

Only the freshest ingredients are used to enhance the always sought after Mediterranean flavour of the Italian Cuisine. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner with live piano music, and it is famous for its Sunday brunch. At night, jacket and tie are required, and due to limited seating, reservations are required.

The Hassler Bar, with its particular wooden and leather furnishing, has the same cosy atmosphere of an exclusive English club. Adjacent to the Salone Eva, the Tea Room, at the ground floor, it is ideal for cocktails accompanied by the lyrics of a pianist-singer, light lunches and after dinner with live piano music.

The Palm Court, a cool and luxurious inner garden within the Hassler walls, with its original Liberty style, at the bottom of the Villa Medici park, becomes the site of the Hassler Bar during the Summer season.

The Hassler offers various rooms which meet the requirements of many different requests and are suitable for functions up to 120 people. Sala Capre and Salone Medici are on the ground floor and lead into the secluded oasis of the Palm Court garden, Sala Sistina is directly accessible by stairs from the lobby and is provided with A/V equipment.

Special "Hassler Meeting Packages" are available upon request at very favourable rates. The Public Relations Office is particularly efficient in organising various kinds of events, including, receptions, cocktail parties, business meetings and lunches, gala dinner and press conferences.
