About Paris Districts:
1ère Arrondissement
Paris' First District is the geographical center of Paris and a popular tourist area. Here you'll find The Louvre, Les Halles and the Palais Royal.
2ème Arrondissement
Paris' Second District is primarily a business district. The Bourse and the Bibliothèque Nationale are located here.
3ème Arrondissement
Together with the 4ème arrondissement, the Third District or the Marais, one of the oldest neighbourhoods in Paris. This is a quiet neighbourhood.
4ème Arrondissement
The 4th District of Paris, The center of the Marais, is a lively neighbourhood with a strong alternative lifestyle scene. It has lots of trendy bars, shops, and restaurants.
5ème Arrondissement
The 5th District is the Latin Quarter. The neighbourhood has the feel of a small village. Here shops, international restaurants and student bars and cafés can be found.
5ème Arrondissement
St. Germain is the 6th District. This area is newly chic, home to boutiques, art galleries, and restaurants.
7ème Arrondissement
A tourst hotspot, in the 7th District you'll find The Eiffel Tower and the Musée d'Orsay.
8ème Arrondissement
Tourists come to the 8th District to see The Champs Elysèe.
9ème Arrondissement
Pigalle and the world famous Moulin Rouge are here in the 9th District.
10ème Arrondissement
The 10th District is home of the Gare de l'Est and the Gare du Nord. This is a multi-cultural neighbourhood.
11ème Arrondissement
The 11th District is primarily a residential district. The Bastille is located here.
12ème Arrondissement
The 12th District is a residential neighbourhood bordered eastwards by the Bois de Vincennes.
13ème Arrondissement
The 13th District is Paris' Chinatown.
14ème Arrondissement
In 14th District Montparnasse and the Cité Universitaire are to be found as well as cafés and restaurants around the Boullevard Montparnasse.
15ème Arrondissement
The 15th District is primarily, a large residential district.
16ème Arrondissement
The 16th District is home of Bois de Boulogne and Trocadero. Although not as exclusive as the 7th arrondissement, this is widely regarded as an affluent neighbourhood.
17ème Arrondissement
In the 17th District there is Nar the Arc de Triomph and Parc Monceau, this is an upscale area.
18ème Arrondissement
In the 18th District you'll find Montmartre. Toursits enjoy the arty atmosphere.
19ème Arrondissement
In the 19th District you will find Père-Lachaise cemetery and the Parc des Buttes Chaumont.
20ème Arrondissement
The 20th District is Belleville. A yuppy haven.
