There is no finer example of Edwardian architecture in Manchester than one of its most famous landmarks, the Midland Hotel. Originally built in 1903, the entire hotel is of considerable architectural significance and then, as now, the Midland is considered to be one of the finest hotels in Europe. In 1904 it was the venue for the very first meeting between the Hon. Charles Stewart Rolls and Frederick Henry Royce which led to the legendary formation of Rolls Royce Limited. THe Midland Hotel has 303 beautiful and stylish bedrooms. These include deluxe rooms, twin rooms a room with wheelchair access, plus seven suites, including the magnificent President Suites, all with luxurious and uniquely designed interiors.
