The building was finished in 1926 by the first Baron Milford, to provide a ‘pied-a-terre’ for landed gentry visiting London. It has been exquisitely restored, retaining many of the original features including a beautiful curved staircase. Giant Corinthian columns set into the wings at either end of the front of the building combine with classical detailing over the entrance to form the impressive façade.
Each suite is furnished and decorated in a luxurious English style. Being a town house, all suites look onto the street. However, some Superior One Bedroom Suites do overlook the courtyard.
Each suite has its own entrance hall, a beautifully fitted bedroom (seven have two bedrooms) a large drawing room with dining area and a fully equipped kitchen. Suites are spacious enough to hold your own private dinner party which can be catered for by room service.
In sitting rooms you will find comfortable armchairs and sofas, a large desk and a well-stocked drinks cabinet.
