Catalonia Duques De Bergara Hotel

As its name indicates, the Catalonia Duques De Bergara is a refined hotel with beautiful modern decor and architecture that lend it an historic, aristocratic atmosphere. The hotel was renovated in 1998 and is located next to Plaça Catalunya and the Ramblas, real key centres in Barcelona.

This stylish building was built in 1898 by the famous architect Emilio Salas y Cortés (a professor of Gaudí). The entry hall with the marble staircase leading to the first floor has been preserved from the main building. On the first floor you will find impressive mahogany doors from Cuba and the original moulded ceiling and dome. Along the building's main staircase, the wrought iron handrail has been preserved and the original paintings restored.

The hotel offers 145 rooms and 3 suites. All rooms are fully equipped for guests maximum comfort, and include interactive satellite TV with pay-per-view movies, Canal +, minibar, safe deposit box, air conditioning, etc. Moreover, all guests can enjoy the exclusive services of an outdoor swimming pool, solarium and parking facility.
