Blakes is Amsterdam's newest most stylish and intimate Hotel, offering its guests a sensational personal service. Blakes is established in an exceptional 17th Century landmark, in the old days used as theatre, on one of the city's most famous canals, "Keizersgracht".
A 15 minute stroll will take you to the Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum and the Anne Frank House. The fashionable Museum Quarter, famous for its designer boutiques is 10 minutes away from the Hotel, and furthermore, the picturesque neighbourhood De Jordan, as well as the 9 Little Streets with small exclusive shops, are just around the corner.
The 41 rooms and suites are decorated in gorgeous fabrics, each one themed on Dutch history in different colours with touches of the orient. Many rooms include four-poster beds, some will have canal views and others have courtyard views. Also on offer are luxury duplex rooms, some with winding staircases, while all rooms have a TV, VCR and CD player.
Blakes Restaurant is well known for blending both classic and contemporary cuisines from the East and West. The superb menu contains dishes of Italian and Thai flavours, an architectural cuisine of striking Zen harmony!
The culinary delights of the meeting between East and West exist in lunch, dinner and the well known afternoon tea. Blakes Restaurant and the Long Gallery are open for lunch and dinner from Monday till Saturday. On Sunday they are pleased to welcome you in the Long Gallery for a brunch or traditional high tea.
The restaurant, bar and a secluded garden are discreetly hidden behind this landmark building making Blakes arguably Amsterdam's most sophisticated place to stay!
The Hotel also offers Annabel's, a private dining room that can accommodate small dinner parties for up to 12 guests. Furthermore, they offer meeting facilities up to 30 guests in room 12 and 48 guests in Blakes Restaurant.
